The Paraelemental Plane of Magma

The Paraelemental Plane of Magma, one of the paraelemental planes in the Inner Planar Region, is a fierce fusion of earth and fire, a realm of fiery desolation, characterized by its deep ravines, flowing rivers of lava, and frequent volcanic eruptions. Towering obsidian structures rise from the broken terrain, creating a landscape both majestic and menacing. The plane's temperature varies wildly, from zones of unbearable heat capable of melting non-magical materials, to somewhat milder areas where solid rock can exist amidst the sweltering heat.

Travelers to this plane face numerous perils. Even on milder temperature regions, the oppressive heat can rapidly boil liquids and weaken materials, while the unpredictability of the terrain adds to the risk, as new volcanoes can open and erupt violently at any given moment. One of the most feared phenomenon is the Magma Rain, a deadly shower of molten rock expelled from volcanoes, raining down over vast distances without warning. These hazards make the plane a treacherous place, demanding utmost caution and preparedness.

Despite the harsh conditions, resilient beings thrive here. Natives like magmins and azer have adapted to the extreme environment, mining mineral veins for crafting weapons with extraordinary durability and unique magical properties. Among those, the hard obsidian weapons are one of the mostly sought. Their skills in utilizing the plane's resources attract adventurers and travelers from afar, drawn to the plane's famed forges. These forges, renowned across realms, produce equipment and artifacts of exceptional quality, imbued with the plane's fiery essence.
