The Quasielemental Plane of Dust

The Quasielemental Plane of Dust, part of the Inner Planar Region is a vast, desolate expanse that results from the combination of negative energy and the element of earth. This is a plane where the essence of dryness and decay prevails. The dust in this plane is not shifting, as this realm embodies the finality of erosion and disintegration. The landscape is a monochrome tapestry of grey, filled with endless dunes of fine, powdery dust, almost impalpable to the touch. The air is arid, carrying a perpetual haze of minute particles. Here, the remnants of forgotten civilizations and eroded landscapes from other planes gather, reduced to their most basic form.

Venturing into this plane is a challenge to the vitality of any traveler. The pervasive dryness rapidly desiccates living tissue, making prolonged exposure lethal. Breathing becomes laborious, as the air is thick with dust. Structures are unstable and prone to collapse under the slightest disturbance. The omnipresent dust can obscure and irritate vision, disorienting travelers, and making navigation perilous. Breathing is also difficult and even harmful if unprotected. The inherent nature of decay in this realm weakens the body and the soul of anyone not native from the plane, making survival even more difficult.

Very few inhabitants roam these planes. Some arrive to search the remnants looking for things to use or sell, while others are just lost souls who lost their way. Natural inhabitants are few, dust elementals are the most known.
