The Quasielemental Plane of Radiance

The Quasielemental Plane of Radiance, one of the quasielemental planes in the Inner Planar Region, is a vivid and dynamic environment. It's formed by the fusion of positive energy with the element of fire, resulting in a realm of intense brightness and high temperatures. The plane's ever-changing background is a kaleidoscope of radiant colors, constantly appearing, blending, and then being replaced by new hues. Bright, energetic particles zip through the plane at high speeds. Solid matter, known as brightstone, forms from these particle collisions. Some brightstone masses have grown large enough to support settlements.

This is a realm of breathtaking beauty yet extreme danger. Its brilliance is so intense that it can permanently blind any unprotected creature that gazes upon it. Additionally, the plane's high temperatures pose a severe threat, as unprotected flammable materials instantly ignite, and most other substances melt quickly. The plane is also fraught with the risk of high-speed particle collisions. These particles, moving at tremendous velocities, can disintegrate creatures upon impact due to their immense energy.

Even though the particles that create brightstone are very dangerous, brightstone itself isn't. It is a very hard substance, not unlike obsidian, that emits a soft glow. Because of this, big brightstone chuncks are the perfect locations for the very few settlements that exist in this place. Travelers have to be adequately protected, as most creatures that settle here. Natural inhabitants are few, radiant elementals being the most notable.
