Central Planar Region

The Central Planar Region is a complex and critical nexus within the multiverse, comprised of three coexistent planes: the Material Plane, the Ethereal Plane, and the Plane of Shadow. This region stands at the heart of the cosmological structure, acting as the foundational core from which the interplay of various planes shapes the complexities and possibilities of existence.

While is true that the three planes are coexistent, planar travel is not always easy. Material Plane is fully coterminous with the Ethereal Plane, which means a creature with the proper magic can travel between those planes at any point. The Material Plane is also coterminous with the plane of shadow, but only in those points in the material plane where shade exists. Finally, The Ethereal Plane and the Plane of Shadow are not coterminous to each other, which means that only with the most potent magic one can travel from one to another, and always with the Astral Plane as a path between the two.

The Central Planar Region is of utmost importance due to its unique position within the cosmic order. It serves as the central point of convergence for various planes, playing a pivotal role in maintaining the balance and cohesion of the multiverse's structure. The region is not only a crossroads for interplanar travel but also a fertile ground for the mingling of diverse energies and entities. In this region, life explodes in a variety not seen in any other planar region. This diversity fosters a hotbed of potential, from the greatest goods to the lowest evils. The region's rich tapestry of existence offers a spectrum of possibilities, making it a realm where the brightest lights and the darkest shadows coexist and interact. It's a place where the potential for profound goodness is matched by the possibility of absolute evil, reflecting the full range of moral complexities inherent in the multiverse. And this is why the Central Planar Region is always the point of focus of the most powerful entities from other planes.

Planes

Three planes exist in this region of the multiverse, all occupying the same space.

• The Material Plane: The heart of the multiverse, the Material Plane is a realm of immense diversity, teeming with life, cultures, and landscapes. It is characterized by a unique blend of physical laws and magical forces, creating a reality that is both tangible and wondrous. The plane's rich and dynamic nature makes it a central stage for countless adventures and narratives. Here we can find the vibrant world of Nyrus, and the Drifts, the floating islands that dot the sky.

• The Ethereal Plane: Existing in parallel with the Material and Shadow planes, the Ethereal Plane serves as a transitional zone. It is a realm of mist and fog, and of lost souls who wander its out of phase landscape.

• The Plane of Shadow: A realm of mystery and enigma, the Plane of Shadow is defined by its highly morphic nature, and it's eternal darkness. Is a world in constant flux, its landscape defined by the ever-changing nature of shadows.
